The £18M Dickson Poon China Centre for St Hugh’s college, Oxford will provide new academic and residential facilities in brand new accommodation for the development of Chinese studies across the university.

Working closely with David Morley Architects, Barwest fabrications have now completed  the manufacture and installation of feature calligraphy art work on the internal court yard wall, Barwest were given a sketch by Hong-Kong based philanthropist Dickson Poon CBE to recreate the calligraphy using water jet technology in a rolled Cor-Ten steel finish.

The Centre is set to become the largest facility of its kind outside of North America and will improve Western understanding on Chinese culture.
